Quick verdict
The YOYO2 is the best-known cabin-size travel stroller for one reason: the fold. At roughly 13.6 lb with a folded package of 20″L × 17″W × 7″H, it fits airline overhead bins, restaurant booths, and hallway closets — nothing else in its price class disappears this completely. The trade-offs are structural: no included newborn solution (Newborn Pack or bassinet cost extra), no second-rider path, small wheels that prefer smooth pavement, and a buying experience split across frame, color pack, and newborn accessories. Buy it as a second stroller or a dedicated traveler; don't buy it expecting one stroller to do everything.

What we like
- The fold is the product. 20 × 17 × 7 inches is genuinely cabin-bag sized — it rides in overhead bins, under restaurant tables, and in apartment closets where full-size strollers simply cannot go.
- Fly-weight carry. At ~13.6 lb it's roughly half the weight of premium full-size strollers, which changes how often you actually bring it.
- Longevity for a travel stroller. The 48.5 lb / 6-months-to-toddler 6+ seat range out-carries most ultra-compacts.
- Clean safety record. No recalls against the YOYO2 in CPSC's database; the 2024 Stokke action involved YOYO3 serial numbers only.
- Newborn path exists. Unlike most travel strollers, a true Newborn Pack and bassinet are available — bought separately.
Where it falls short
- The price is modular. Frame + color pack + newborn gear adds up fast; a "complete" YOYO2 rarely matches the sticker math of the parts.
- No Amazon complete-stroller listing. Buying through authorized retailers is correct for warranty, but comparison shopping is harder.
- Small wheels, city pavement bias. It's engineered for airports and smooth sidewalks, not trails or deep snow.
- No second-seat future. If baby #2 arrives during stroller years, this isn't the chassis that grows.
- Successor pressure. The YOYO3 exists; YOYO2 stock and parts availability will narrow over time.
Who it fits
- Frequent flyers who want their own stroller at the gate and in the bin, not checked at the jet bridge.
- Car-free city families for whom trunk space doesn't exist and closet space barely does.
- Owners of a full-size stroller solving the "second stroller" problem without duplicating bulk.
- Grandparents and rideshare households who need a stroller that lives in a hallway and deploys in seconds.
Look elsewhere if: this must be your only stroller from birth — the included-bassinet, double-capable full-size systems do that job and the YOYO2 structurally cannot.
