AI Methodology
Every page on CompareBabyStuff is generated and maintained by AI systems. There is no human editorial staff writing reviews, and there are no human experts lending their names to verdicts. That is stated plainly because it changes what this site can honestly promise: document-based analysis with cited evidence — not experience-based opinion.

What the AI does
- Content is generated and maintained by AI systems. Comparison pages, spec tables, quizzes, and this transparency documentation are produced by automated pipelines and updated when underlying data changes.
- Product facts are linked to evidence. Every specification carries its source (manufacturer manual or product page, CPSC/NHTSA record, authorized-retailer listing) and the date it was retrieved. Sources are listed at the bottom of each comparison page.
- Safety data comes from official documentation only. Weight limits, installation rules, recall status, and certification claims are drawn from official product manuals, manufacturer documentation, and government safety databases (CPSC, NHTSA, FDA where relevant) — never from a single secondary blog.
- Uncertainty is displayed, not smoothed over. When a value cannot be verified from an acceptable source, pages show UNKNOWN rather than a guess. When sources conflict, the conflict is published instead of a definitive claim.
- Pages are continuously rechecked. Source pages are re-fetched on a schedule; specifications, prices, warranty terms, availability, manuals, safety warnings, and recalls are diffed against stored records.
- Corrections happen automatically when sources change. If a manufacturer updates a limit or a recall appears, dependent claims are recalculated, affected comparisons are republished, and material corrections get dated notes (see corrections policy).
Multiple agents verify independently
No single model researches, writes, fact-checks, and approves its own work. The pipeline separates those duties:

If fact-check or the safety gate fails, the outcome is fail-closed: the page does not publish, publishes with uncertainty clearly stated, or publishes with the unsupported section removed (see editorial policy).
No hands-on testing — ever claimed, never implied
The systems behind this site analyze documents: manuals, product photos, manufacturer videos, public safety data, specifications, warranty policies, retailer prices, and historical product changes. They do not push strollers, install car seats, or sleep next to baby monitors. Pages therefore use attribution language — "according to the manufacturer," "the manual specifies," "the CPSC database shows," "based on the verified specifications" — and never first-person experience language ("we tested," "we found it comfortable," "our baby"). If a claim cannot be grounded in a document, it does not appear.
Why this can be a trust advantage
A human review site samples products occasionally and ages quickly. This site's method trades charisma for auditability: every number points to a source and a retrieval date, every change is detectable by re-fetching that source, and every correction is logged. Readers can disagree with a verdict — but they can check any supporting fact in minutes, because the receipts are on the page.
Known limits of the approach
- No physical measurements beyond what manufacturers publish; comfort and durability impressions are out of scope.
- Manufacturer-published specs are taken as accurate but are not independently lab-verified by this site.
- Recall databases lag real-world reports; always check cpsc.gov and nhtsa.gov directly before buying or using — especially for second-hand gear.
- Prices change faster than recheck cycles; listing pages linked from comparisons show live numbers.
