Baby Monitor Total Cost Calculator
The sticker price is only the down payment on some smart monitors. Add hardware and subscription fees to see what Nanit, Owlet, eufy and CuboAi actually cost over years 1, 2 and 3.
Calculated from published prices and subscription terms, not physically measured. Verified figures retrieved 2026-08-23–24 from official product pages; where our records hold no verified price we say so with an honest gap instead of guessing. Source register in Data Sources.
How it works
Year 1 = hardware price + 12 months of subscription. Year 2 adds another 12 months; year 3 adds 24. Edit any field — the math is deterministic and runs in your browser. Accessories (extra socks, breathing wear, floor stands) are not included; see method note at the bottom.
Nanit Pro
Honest gaps: Core features (live view, alerts, two-way audio, temp/humidity) are free forever per nanit.com; the paid Insights membership unlocks full sleep-history analytics after the complimentary trial — but Nanit's membership pricing is not in our verified records, so enter your plan's monthly price yourself. For hardware, launch pricing was $299 wall mount / $379 floor stand (PCMag, via our Nanit vs Owlet comparison); the current Amazon buy-box price was not exposed by our API pull, so no dollar figure is pre-filled. Note: the Pro Complete Monitoring System has included 1 year of Nanit Insights per nanit.com/global.
Owlet Dream Sock
$299.99 verified on owletcare.com (2026-08-23): includes Dream Sock sensor, 4 fabric socks (1–18 mo / 6–30 lb), base station and free Dream App access. No subscription required for readings.
eufy Security SpaceView Pro (E210)
Price gap — by design Subscription: none, ever — FHSS radio link with a dedicated parent unit, "No App Required" per eufy marketing, so there is nothing to subscribe to. Hardware: our Amazon Creators API pull did not expose a US buy-box price and we won't print an unverified dollar figure (the NZ$479.95 on eufy's NZ store is a currency mismatch, not a US price). Enter today's retail price to calculate.
CuboAi Smart Baby Monitor 3
$199 (MSRP $239) verified on cubo.ai's official product page (2026-08-24). The same page states 3 full-day video playback is continuous "no additional fees," and covered-face/rollover/danger-zone alerts run without a paid tier — subscription stays $0 unless CuboAi changes terms.
Reading the results: a $0-subscription monitor keeps years 1–3 identical. A subscription monitor's cost curve never flattens — which is exactly why the sticker price alone misleads.
