Which car seats fit the UPPAbaby Cruz V2?

Short answer: every UPPAbaby MESA (V2, V3, Max) and the lightweight Aria click straight onto the Cruz V2 with no adapter at all. Seats from four other brands — Nuna PIPA, Maxi-Cosi Mico, Cybex Aton and Clek Liing — share one UPPAbaby adapter pair. The Chicco KeyFit 35 works with UPPAbaby's dedicated Chicco adapter. Graco, Britax, Cybex Cloud T and Doona currently have no official support. One structural note: the Cruz is a single-child stroller, so unlike the Vista there's no second-seat or double-mode juggling — one car seat, one position.

How the adapters work on the Cruz

UPPAbaby sells exactly two third-party adapter families for the Cruz, and both are sold as shared Vista & Cruz products:

• Car Seat Adapters for Vista & Cruz (Maxi-Cosi®, Nuna®, Cybex®, Clek®) — one pair covering the whole Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek list above. They snap onto the stroller's arms with no tools, use color-coded dot indicators, and UPPAbaby states the stroller conveniently folds with the adapters on.
• Car Seat Adapter for Vista & Cruz (Chicco®) — a separate pair shaped for Chicco's KeyFit/Fit2 shell, also tool-free and fold-friendly.

The Cruz has one seating position — the toddler seat or a car seat/bassinet on the adapter arms, never both at once. There is no RumbleSeat, no second-seat configuration and no lower adapter set to think about; that whole decision tree exists only on the Vista. If you later move to a Vista (or already own both), the same adapter pairs work on either stroller — UPPAbaby builds one adapter line for both frames.

MESA V3 / V2 / Max and Aria — the zero-parts options

If your travel system will be UPPAbaby-on-UPPAbaby, the MESA saves you the adapter purchase entirely: the carrier drops onto the same arms as the bassinet and reverses to face either direction. UPPAbaby's support documentation states plainly that the MESA and Aria attach directly to the Vista and Cruz strollers with no adapters, and the MESA V2 gets its own confirmation article. Nuna PIPA series — one pair, every variant

Nuna's whole current PIPA line — including the PIPA rx and the featherweight PIPA urbn — sits on UPPAbaby's named compatibility list, which fits the Cruz V2 explicitly. Nuna's own documentation stays honest about scope: the carrier connects natively with Nuna strollers and reaches "other brands of strollers using adapters," which on the Cruz means the Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek pair above. Note the PIPA rx is generally not sold through Amazon US — the adapter, however, is ($49.98 a pair, price verified Aug 2026).

Chicco KeyFit 35 — the budget-friendly path

The KeyFit 35 is the value play: roughly half the seat cost of a MESA or PIPA rx, 4–35 lb capacity, and it's explicitly named on the Chicco adapter's compatibility list alongside the KeyFit 30 family and Fit2 seats. Chicco's own page scopes native click-in to Chicco strollers only, so budget the $49.99 adapter (price verified Aug 2026) into the true total.

Graco, Britax, Cybex Cloud T, Doona — why they're out

Graco's absence surprises people because an official UPPAbaby Graco adapter once existed; it simply isn't part of the current two-family adapter lineup, and marketplace leftovers aren't a recommendation we'll make. Britax has never been on the list. Cybex's newer Cloud T and Cloud G are absent from UPPAbaby's Cybex list (Aton models only) — we flag that as unverified rather than pretending certainty. And the Doona carries its own wheels; it was never meant to dock on another stroller.
