Where the TRVL lx wins: the first year, handled
If this is your only stroller from week one, the TRVL lx removes the usual compact-stroller compromises. Where the Aer² wins: every pound and every inch
The Aer² is the stroller you grab one-handed with a baby on your hip: 14.3 lb total, a shoulder strap built into the frame, and a fold that lies flat rather than standing as a deep block — easier in overhead bins, taxi trunks, and narrow apartment closets alike. Joolz rates it from birth and includes the baby net for newborn rides, with a foldable cot available if you want a pram-style setup. The recline goes truly flat, which the TRVL lx's near-flat backrest approaches but doesn't match. What you give up: car-seat use requires separately purchased adapters (recalled June 2026 — verify any adapters against CPSC recall 26-568 before use), and there's no standing fold or included travel bag.

Buy the Joolz Aer² if you're a frequent flyer or anyone who lifts the stroller daily. Fourteen pounds, a flat fold, and the shoulder strap make it the easiest premium travel stroller to live with, and the included baby net covers newborns without extra purchases.
