Which strollers fit the Nuna PIPA rx?
Short answer: if you already own (or plan to buy) a Nuna stroller, the PIPA rx clicks straight on — the car-seat adapters come in the stroller box. On a UPPAbaby Vista or Cruz it rides one pair of UPPAbaby's Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek adapters; on a Minu V3 you need that frame's own version of the same pair. A Bugaboo Fox takes it via a ring adapter made and endorsed by Nuna itself. Graco, Britax and Doona frames have no official path.
Last reviewed: 2026-08-25. Stroller-side fit claims re-verified against nunababy.com's live PIPA rx page and UPPAbaby's live adapter pages on 2026-08-25, plus each stroller maker's own documentation. Seat-side specs come from our 2026-08-23 manufacturer-sourced research. Sources cited per row and listed at the end.

Recall status
Recall screening: CPSC database checked 2026-08-25 — no live recalls affecting the PIPA family or the strollers recommended above; the January 2026 carseat.org compilation lists the PIPA family as recall-free, and nunababy.com's own recalls page lists only the RAVA voluntary recall (checked 2026-08-23). Re-verified before every site update.
How the adapters work
The PIPA rx docks onto non-Nuna frames through the same Maxi-Cosi-family click system that most premium stroller brands build around:
- On UPPAbaby Vista / Cruz: one pair of UPPAbaby's Maxi-Cosi®/Nuna®/Cybex/Clek® adapters snaps onto the stroller arms tool-free, with color-coded dot indicators, and UPPAbaby states the stroller conveniently folds with the adapters on. The same pair also fits every other current PIPA variant, all Maxi-Cosi Mico models, the Cybex Aton series and Clek Liing/Liingo — so one purchase covers sibling seats later.
- On UPPAbaby Minu V3: the same seat families, but a physically different part — product no. 0901-MXA-WW. Vista adapters do not fit the Minu, and vice versa.
- On Bugaboo Fox: Nuna itself manufactures the ring adapter, so this is the rare cross-brand pairing where the seat maker stands behind the hardware. Listen for the click; remove adapter and carrier before folding.
- On Nuna's own strollers: no shopping required — the pairing is native, and the adapters are in the stroller box. This is the zero-parts option, and it's why Nuna can sell factory travel-system bundles like the MIXX next + PIPA rx.
Generation matters everywhere: UPPAbaby's current pages cover Vista/Cruz 2015–2019 through V3 and the Minu V3 specifically (older Minu/Minu V2 frames use their own earlier adapter). If you're buying second-hand, confirm the packaging lists your stroller year.
Stroller-by-stroller notes
Nuna strollers — the zero-parts option
If the stroller decision is still open and the PIPA rx is already decided, staying inside Nuna's line saves you money, parts and fumbling: every current Nuna stroller connects natively, adapters included. The MIXX next even ships as a factory PIPA rx travel system. Our UPPAbaby MESA vs Nuna PIPA comparison covers why the rx earns its premium seat-side: RELX rigid-LATCH base with a crumple-zone stability leg, belt-only taxi installs, and FAA certification for flights with or without the base.
UPPAbaby Vista / Cruz — one pair, fully documented
This is the best-documented cross-brand pairing in the category: UPPAbaby's own adapter page names "Nuna® PIPA rx" explicitly and covers Vista and Cruz generations back to 2015. Budget about $50 for the pair ($49.98 verified Aug 2026). Full matrix, double-mode configurations and second-seat notes live on our UPPAbaby Vista car seat compatibility guide.
UPPAbaby Minu V3 — compact frame, separate part
The Minu V3 accepts the rx through its own Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek pair (0901-MXA-WW) — handy if you want a travel stroller that still forms a travel system. Just don't reuse Vista parts: the mounting points differ. Pairing a KeyFit 35 instead? That combination doesn't exist on any Minu — see our MESA V3 vs KeyFit 35 comparison for where the budget seat actually fits.
Bugaboo Fox, Mockingbird — possible, with caveats
The Bugaboo Fox pairing is unusual because Nuna builds and endorses the adapter itself — the strongest form of cross-brand blessing you'll find. Mockingbird's adapter lists Nuna among 50+ supported seats, but we stop short of calling the rx model-confirmed until you've matched your variant on their chart. Anything beyond these — Graco, Britax, Doona frames — has no documented path, and marketplace workarounds aren't a recommendation we'll make.

FAQ
Do I need an adapter for the PIPA rx on a Nuna stroller?
No. Nuna states the PIPA rx "connects with all Nuna strollers," and the car-seat adapters come included in the box with the stroller. Click the adapters on once and the carrier drops in from there.
Does the Nuna PIPA rx fit the UPPAbaby Vista or Cruz?
Yes — with one pair of UPPAbaby Car Seat Adapters for Vista & Cruz (the Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek set). UPPAbaby's own compatibility list names the PIPA rx explicitly, alongside every other current PIPA variant.
Can I use Vista adapters on the Minu V3?
No. UPPAbaby builds separate adapter hardware per frame family. The Minu V3 needs its own Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek pair (product no. 0901-MXA-WW); the Vista & Cruz pair will not mount to it.
Does the PIPA rx fit a Bugaboo?
On the Fox, yes: Nuna makes a dedicated ring adapter for exactly this pairing, tested and endorsed by Nuna itself. Other Bugaboo models aren't covered by that part — check Bugaboo's own adapter line before assuming.
What about the Mockingbird stroller?
Mockingbird's own adapter supports 50+ infant seats including the Nuna brand, so the pairing exists at brand level. Because we couldn't verify the rx at model level on their chart during this review, treat it as likely-but-unconfirmed and match your exact seat against their list before buying.
Will the PIPA rx fit a Graco or Britax stroller?
No official path exists. Neither company publishes a PIPA-compatible adapter, and third-party marketplace parts carry no endorsement from either side. If a Graco or Britax stroller is fixed, the realistic move is choosing that brand's own infant seat.
Is the PIPA rx safe to use on a stroller without the base?
Stroller attachment and car installation are separate things. On the stroller, the carrier clicks onto the adapters — no base involved anywhere. In the car, the rx installs with its RELX base or, for taxis and travel, with a vehicle seat belt alone; it's also FAA-certified for aircraft use with or without the base.
Where can I buy the PIPA rx itself?
It's a specialty-retail product — Nuna doesn't sell it through Amazon US, so we don't link a marketplace listing for the seat. The adapters, however, are standard Amazon stock, and prices above were verified August 2026.

The one-paragraph answer
Own or buying a Nuna stroller? Stop here — the PIPA rx clicks straight on and the adapters are in the box. UPPAbaby Vista or Cruz household? One Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek adapter pair, named for the rx on UPPAbaby's own list. Minu V3? Same plan, Minu-specific part. Bugaboo Fox? Nuna's own ring adapter has you covered. Anything else — Graco, Britax, Doona frames? There's no official path, and we won't pretend a marketplace listing changes that.
Both official UPPAbaby adapter pairs (prices verified Aug 2026): the Vista & Cruz Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex/Clek pair at $49.98; the Minu V3 pair sold via UPPAbaby's accessory channel. Links route through our redirect service for geo-correct stores; the listing shows the live price.
